In the UK SLR operates as SLR Consulting Limited.  SLR Consulting has a board of seven directors all of whom have a technical and consultancy background.  In addition, several of SLR's directors have worked previously in industry organisations.

All of SLR's Directors and other senior technical staff take a hands on role in working with SLR's clients and in leading important projects across a wide range of business areas.  SLR employs in house IT support staff, human resources staff and financial and administrative support, all of whom are key to our service delivery.

It is SLR's philosophy that some of the most senior staff need to stay involved in the day to day provision of high quality advice, and this is enabled by SLR's flat management structure which avoids unnecessary tiers of management and overheads.

SLR works as a single team and inter-office working is core to our ability to provide a flexible and cost effective service to our clients.  As such we operate on a project team basis and incentivise and reward our staff based on the performance of the company as a whole, rather than that of individual offices or groups.

At the end of 2007, SLR employed over 300 staff in the UK, operating from a network of 16 offices.  The company has grown organically by over 20% per annum over the last 5 years and intends to maintain this rate of growth whilst maintaining its profitability.  As such the company continues to offer a wide range of opportunities for career and business development.

The company's network of offices in the USA and Canada enables SLR Consulting to advise on strategic projects in North America and the company has been involved in world wide due diligence, environmental assessment and consulting projects with joint UK / North American project teams.
